Keren, 26 July 2011 – Representatives of the Africa National Cycling Teams voiced deep impression with the ancient historical buildings of Keren town and its salubrious weather.
During a tour they conducted to different parts of the town in the company of members of the Ministry of Tourism, they explained that the number of buildings that reflect the cultural practice adds charm to the beauty of town.
The director of sports in the Sudanese Kassaal region who headed the country’s cycling team, Mr. Hashim Seid, expressed admiration as regards the ancient buildings of Keren.
Likewise, the coach of the Algerian National Cycling Team, Mr. Rida Ali, and Mr. Mahmud Maawa of the Egyptian team, explained that Keren is inhabited with a hardworking people in which members of the different Eritrean ethnic groups live in harmony.
