Inhabitants Of Geleb Sub-Zone Call Upon To Step Up Development Endeavours

In a meeting he held with representatives of Area Administrators of Geleb sub-zone, the Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, called on the inhabitants to reinforce their endeavors in the effective implementation of development programs. Geleb, 27 July 2011 – In a meeting he held with representatives of Area Administrators of Geleb sub-zone, the Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, called on the inhabitants to reinforce their endeavors in the effective implementation of development programs.

Pointing out that self-reliance is a guiding principle of the Eritrean government, he urged the inhabitants to strengthen their organizational capacity and step-up efforts in soil and water conservation activities.
The Administrator of Geleb sub-zone, Mr. Teklebrehan Mihreteab, on his part stated that wells are been of dug to ensure potable water supply and irrigation. He further called on the inhabitants to step-up their participation in reforestation programs.

The participant of the meeting commended government endeavors to expand social services, and stressed the need for the construction of community hospital and electricity as early as possible.
Reports indicated that there exist 23 schools, 2 health stations, mobile telephone service and supply of potable water supply in Geleb sub-zone.
