The participants of the Summer Work Program (SWP) in Anseba region are playing active role in soil and water conservation activities, stated Mr. Kifle Solomon, head of the program in the region.
Keren, 28 July 2011 – The participants of the Summer Work Program (SWP) in Anseba region are playing active role in soil and water conservation activities, stated Mr. Kifle Solomon, head of the program in the region.
He pointed out that the students are engaged in renovating and constructing roads, terraces and embankment, in addition to reforestation activities and extending support to families of fallen heroes. Moreover, over 415,000 tree seedlings would be planted in this year’s Summer Work Program.
According to reports, more than 3,800 high school students and about 110 care takers from the sub-zones of Adi-Tekelezan, Elaberead, Habero, Asmat, Halhale, Hagaz, Keren and Geleb have been assigned to work in 32 stations.
Meanwhile, participants of the program in the sub-zones of Adi-Tekelezan, Elaberead, Keren and Hagaz donated blood on voluntary basis.
