Asmara, July 31 2011-The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch of the central region graduated 55 disadvantaged women after year long training in embroidery and designing.
Addressing the graduates during the event, head of Asmara Community Center, Mrs. Jim’a Mohammed Nur underlined the importance of such training in boosting the national economy and assisting the disadvantaged nationals to lead a better life.
Mrs. Jim’a went on to say that the Asmara Community Center is playing its due role in bringing about basic changes in the living standard of the community.
Documents from the Asmara Community Center indicate that 1,832 disadvantaged nationals have been trained in home economics over the past years of independence.
