Efforts Underway To Boost Milk Produce By Eritrean Livestock Corporation

Efforts are being stepped-up to boost milk produce by the Eritrean Livestock Corporation, stated head of the technical division, Mr. Bereket Berhe.  Asmara, 2 August 2011 – Efforts are being stepped-up to boost milk produce by the Eritrean Livestock Corporation, stated head of the technical division, Mr. Bereket Berhe.  He indicated that the main purpose is to increase milk production and guarantee supply to Alebu Milk Company. Moreover, Mr. Bereket said that satisfactory outcome has been achieved. He also explained that the corporation has been engaged in introducing a number of breeding methods, in addition to animal husbandry practices.

He further explained that the presence of professionals trained in the vocational training centers at Sawa guaranteed the achievement of the set goal.As regards securing animal feed, Mr. Bereket   said that the production of green feeding items in Alebu, Gerset and Adi-Omar Agro-industrial plants, along with the Albu factory are guaranteeing higher production.The Eritrean Livestock Corporation was established last year, and has been engaged in production activities in  Alebu, Gerset, Fesco, Adi Omar, Tekreret and Mogolo.
