The dam with the capacity of holding 600,000 cubic meters of water is aimed at providing potable water supply to the inhabitants of the villages of Lamza and Hakefa, according to Eng. Abraham Daniel, head of the Ministry of Agriculture branch office in the sub-zone.
Eng. Abraham further explained that 65% of the project has been completed. The micro-dam has a capacity of cultivating over 60 hectares. About 350 farmers would become beneficiaries of the project.
