Inhabitants of Ginda sub-zone carry out cleaning campaign

The inhabitants of Tseret administrative area, Ginda sub- zone, carried out community-based cleaning campaign.

Ginda, 4 August 2011- The inhabitants of Tseret administrative area, Ginda sub- zone, carried out community-based cleaning campaign.

The Administrator of the sub-zone, Ms. Amna Haji Osman, underlined the significance of a clean environment in building a healthy society. She further pointed out that the people should be aware that building latrines play a vital role in promoting environmental cleanliness.

The head of Ginda Referral Hospital, Mr. Kesete Kahsai, disclosed on his part that four administrative districts in the sub-zone are using latrines and that new toilets are under construction in the remaining areas.

The coordinator of environmental health in the Northern Red Sea region, Mr. Hagos Milkias, also indicated that the main goal of the campaign is to promote public hygiene.
