Farmers of Dekemhare sub-zone called upon to directly supply their products to the market

The Chairman of the Association of the Vegetables and Fruits Farming in Dekemhare sub-zone, Mr. Sibhatleab Zeweldi, called on farmers of the sub-zone to directly supply their products to the market. Dekemhare, 6 August 2011 – The Chairman of the Association of the Vegetables and Fruits Farming in Dekemhare sub-zone, Mr. Sibhatleab Zeweldi, called on farmers of the sub-zone to directly supply their products to the market.

In a speech he delivered at the annual assessment meeting of the association, Mr. Sibhatleab said that in the last couple of months the association has supplied around 76,000 quintals of vegetables and over 21,000 quintals of fruits to the market.

The farmers on their part noted the need for introducing spare parts, pesticides, select seeds and others and expressed readiness to supply their products to the market.

Mr. Sinhatleab further stated that the association has so far cultivated 2,154 hectares and registered remarkable progress in production.

The Vegetables and Fruits Farming Association in Dekemhare sub-zone was set up in 2007.
