Education Ministry: 149 graduate in distance study program

A total of 149 members of the Ministry of Education graduated in masters, first degree and diploma through distance study program in a German university.

Asmara, 9 August 2011- A total of 149 members of the Ministry of Education graduated in masters, first degree and diploma through distance study program in a German university.

Speaking at a ceremony within the premises of the University of Asmara, the Minister of Education, Mr. Semere Russom, noted that endeavors are being made to develop skilled manpower and organizational capacity at substantial expenditure. He further pointed out that over 400 staff members of the Ministry have received training in various fields inside the country and abroad. Such programs would continue in an enhanced manner, the Minister added.

The Dean of the German University of Kaiserslautern, Prof. Rolf Arnold, on his par expressed conviction that the graduating batch would put the knowledge they have acquired in developing the Eritrean educational system.
The graduates comprise 47 in Masters, 10 in first degree and 92 in diploma.
