The Ministry of Health underlined the significance of greater public participation in endeavors to promote mother and child health care. Keren, 10 August 2011- The Ministry of Health underlined the significance of greater public participation in endeavors to promote mother and child health care. In this regard, Mr. Zecarias Ogbaselasie, head of the branch of the Ministry of Anseba region, said that increased efforts need to be made towards raising the awareness of the public at large, especially in pre-post-delivery cases. He stressed that guaranteeing the health of mothers’ means guaranteeing the health of the society at large.

Meanwhile reports indicated that the number of mothers in the region who benefit from health care services stands at about 80%, including 37% who practice child deliveries in health centers.
