Inhabitants of Hamelmalo carry out effective campaign

The inhabitants of eight villages in Hamelmalo sub-zone are carrying out effective agricultural campaign aimed at promoting food security. Hamelmalo, 11 August 2011 – The inhabitants of eight villages in Hamelmalo sub-zone are carrying out effective agricultural campaign aimed at promoting food security.

They stated that they are exerting utmost efforts to utilize the fertile farmland at their disposal and that the undertaking is part of the on-going national development drive through the concerted effort of the government and the people.

The inhabitants further expressed conviction that the campaign would bear fruitful outcome with the satisfactory impact of good rainfall.

The Administrator of the sub-zone, Mr. Fitwi Gebremskel, pointed out that the campaign in which 600 workforce is taking part daily includes soil and water conservation, as well as integrated farming activities.
