The branch office of Ministry of Tourism in the Northern Red Sea region is striving to render efficient service to Massawa port city visitors. Massawa, 11 August 2011 – The branch office of Ministry of Tourism in the Northern Red Sea region is striving to render efficient service to Massawa port city visitors.

The head of the branch office, Mr. Gilazgi Woldu, said that the number of local and foreign tourists is showing growth from time to time, and that relentless endeavors are being made to upgrade the competence and standard of service-rendering enterprises. He also indicated that the concerted endeavors to expand tourism destination places to the country’s fascinating historical islands are registering impressive achievement.

The chairman of service-rendering enterprises in the region, Mr. Abraham Michael, said on his part that training courses are being organized regarding accommodating tourists, in addition to regulating the service rendered by such institutions.

Reports indicated that there exist 200 service- rendering enterprises in the port city of Massawa.
