The inhabitants of Deki-Andu administrative area expressed satisfaction with the provision of potable water supply in their locality.
Elaberad, 13 August 2011 –The inhabitants of Deki-Andu administrative area expressed satisfaction with the provision of potable water supply in their locality.
Recalling that they used to travel long distance to fetch water not even up to standard, they said that at present, they are in a position to obtain potable water supply thanks to the Government’s relentless effort.
The water project includes a well, four water stations and a reservoir with a capacity of holding 550 barrels of water, as well as a generator.
The Administrator fo Deki-Andu, Mr. Fiseha Gebremariam, indicated that three wells have been dug in the villages of Hamrehamarb, Kudunkuruq and Adi-Tafla.
Adi-Andu with a population of 3,000 people, is one of the 13 administrative areas of Elaberid sub-zone.
