Efforts stepped-up to expand educational institutions

Keren, 14 August 2011- 115 million Nakfa has been invested in the Anseba region to ensure the growth of academic institutions, the regional department for economic development disclosed in a meeting held in Keren.

According to reports from the Anseba region, the educational institutions project which has reached close to completion include, five new junior and high schools, two teachers’ training centers, additional classrooms in eight schools, as well as five testing centers and teachers’ dormitories in 18 schools.

Inline with these, the reports indicated that endeavors have also been reinforced to upgrade social services provision in the region, which include accessibility of mobile phones and electricity in remote areas.

Administrator of the Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmay  in the meeting underlined the importance of integrated collaboration of the public and other related institutions to enhance the efforts being exerted to upgrade accessibility of social service rendering institutions.
