Keren: Successful accomplishment in SWP participants in soil and water conservation

Participants of the SWP  in Keren sub-zone have carried out significance activates in soil and water conservation, according to  Mr. Dirar Habtemariam, in charge of the program in the sub-zone. Keren, 15 August 2011-  Participants of the SWP  in Keren sub-zone have carried out significance activates in soil and water conservation, according to  Mr. Dirar Habtemariam, in charge of the program in the sub-zone.
He said that the participants weren engaged in terracing, digging  of holes and planting trees, and that 20 km long in terracing, 12 cubic meters of water diversion scheme were constructed, in addition to the planting of 185 thousand tree seedlings and the digging of 6,300 holes.In addition, the SWP participants took part in voluntary blood donation.

In the 15th round SWP around 1,500 students, 20 agricultural experts and 20 teachers  took part in the Keren sub-zone, reports indicated.
