The inhabitants of Elaberid sub-zone pointed out that the baseless allegation of famine in Eritrea only reflects the day-dreaming of enemy forces and their deep frustration.  In the same vein, they dismissed the unfounded allegation uttered by the US representative to the UN. Elaberid, 19 August 2011 – The inhabitants of Elaberid sub-zone pointed out that the baseless allegation of famine in Eritrea only reflects the day-dreaming of enemy forces and their deep frustration.  In the same vein, they dismissed the unfounded allegation uttered by the US representative to the UN.

The inhabitants stated that the efforts exerted by the Eritrean people to achieve food security in line with the principle of self-reliance has already borne fruitful outcome, and that they stand against dependence on donor-handouts.
