Barentu sub-zone: Farmers demonstrate zeal during the farming season

Farmers in Barentu sub-zone are striving to  enhance active role in the current farming season, said Mr. Tsegazeab Bokretsion, head of Agriculture Ministry branch office in the sub-zone. Barentu, 20 August 2011- Farmers in Barentu sub-zone are striving to  enhance active role in the current farming season, said Mr. Tsegazeab Bokretsion, head of Agriculture Ministry branch office in the sub-zone.

He explained that despite the late rains in some areas, farmers of the sub-zone have accomplished 62 percent of the expected farming activities.Mr. Tsegazeab further indicated that the bigger portion of farm lands in which cultivation has been carried out is in good condition.
