Asmara, 20 August 2011- The participation of students in education has registered growth in the rural areas due to the priority given to investments to this end, according to reports.
The Ministry of Education indicated that the development achieved in students’ participation in pre-school increased from 976 to 20,000, in elementary schools 138,000 to 183,000, in junior schools from 14,000 to 69,000 and in secondary school from 3,000 to 17,000.
The Ministry further pointed out that the success achieved is the result of the enhancement of educational opportunity in the country and assured that such achievements would continue to gain momentum.
