Keren, 21 August 2011- As part of the plans to provide social services through integration of scattered villages, office of the Anseba region administration disclosed that efforts are continuing at a more coordinated manner.
Director of the Anseba regional administration, Mr. Futsum Gebrezgabiher noted that 184 wells, 45 full service potable water facilities as well as 11 schools ranging from elementary level to secondary school have been constructed in the villages that were brought together.
Mr. Futsum added that the villages are using bricks in their housing endeavors to protect deforestation and that provision of electricity, telephone lines and transportation facilities are the key elements for the integration of villages.
According to reports from the administrator’s office, 80% of the inhabitants of Anseba region have been integrated to villages where they can have access to basic social services.
