Afabet: Additional classrooms constructed

Alongside efforts made to upgrade education and enhance student participation, additional classrooms are being constructed at Afabet Junior and Secondary School. Afabet, 22 August 2011 – Alongside efforts made to upgrade education and enhance student participation, additional classrooms are being constructed at Afabet Junior and Secondary School.
The head of service-rendering institutions in the sub-zone, Mr. Osman Adem, said that the additional classrooms will make due contribution in solving such problem encountered. He also pointed out that 100 computers have been made available so as to reinforce the teaching-learning process.

The head of the construction team, Mr. Asmelash Kidane, pointed out that the additional classrooms will begin rendering service in the next academic year. He further indicated that the introduction of modern educational facilities in remote areas is part of the Government’s efforts to ensure social justice.

There are 28 schools in Afabet sub-zone from kindergarten to secondary level reports indicated.
