Keren, 23 August 2011 – The construction of junior and secondary schools in the administrative areas of Kilte and Hamushte in Keren town would play pivotal role in raising the enrollment of students, stated Mr. Hagos Adhana, in charge of basic education at the branch office of the Ministry of Education in Anseba region.
He told Erina that the construction of schools in various parts of the region as part of continuous endeavors to ensure equitable social service is making due contribution in reinforcing the teaching-learning process.
Reports indicated that the junior school under construction by Debwin Construction Company at a cost of over 12 million Nakfa in the administrative area of Kilte includes 24 classrooms, library and water reservoir. While, the secondary school in Hamushte administrative area comprises 35 classrooms, laboratory and library, the report added.
There exit 52 schools in Keren sub-zone raging from pre-school to secondary level.
