Eritrean Electricity Corporation calls for cautious use of electricity during summer season

The Eritrean Electricity Corporation has called cautious use of electricity during summer season so as to reduce accidents relating to electricity, stated Eng. Abraham Berhe, manager of electricity distribution division in the Corporation.

Asmara, 23 August 2011 – The Eritrean Electricity Cooperation has called cautious use of electricity during summer season so as to reduce accidents relating to electricity, stated Eng. Abraham Berhe, manager of electricity distribution division in the Corporation.

He noted the significance of unplugging unused electronic devices from sockets or in the wake of electricity cut off in reducing accidents.  Eng. Abraham further called on the public at lager to refrain from distributing electricity without the assistance of electricians as it entails human and property damages.

Pointing out that there occurs cases of collapse of electric poles and the cutting of power lines due to rainfall accompanied by winds, lightening and ice, he called on beneficiaries to avoid reckless practices.
