Gash-Barka Rehabilitation and Correctional Center strives to enhance academic capacity of civil law prisoners

Civil law prisoners who have been attending elementary education in Gash-Barka Rehabilitation and Correctional Center have been promoted to the next level. Barentu, 25 August 2011 – Civil law prisoners who have been attending elementary education in Gash-Barka Rehabilitation and Correctional Center have been promoted to the next level.

The Commander of the Barentu Rehabilitation Center, Maj. Kidane Yosef, explained that relentless efforts are being made to equip civil law prisoners with knowledge and vocational skills, and thereby assist them to become self-supporting.

The director of the rehabilitation school in Barentu, Mr. Amare Kiros, said that it is playing significant role in nurturing law-abiding citizens.

The trainees received certificate from the Administrator of Gash-Barka region, Mr. Musa Rab’a, and other officials.
