948 families of fallen heroes in Mai-Aini sub-zone obtain support

A total of 2 million Nakfa donated by Eritrean nationals both from inside the country and abroad, as well as through the martyrs’ benefit scheme was paid to 948 families of fallen heroes in Mai-Aini sub-zone, disclosed Mr. Habte Kidane, head of social service in the sub-zone.
Mai-Aini, 27 August 2011 – A total of 2 million Nakfa donated by Eritrean nationals both from inside the country and abroad, as well as through the martyrs’ benefit scheme was paid to 948 families of fallen heroes in Mai-Aini sub-zone, disclosed Mr. Habte Kidane, head of social service in the sub-zone.

Stating that the families used to travel to Dekemhare sub-zone to receive payment, he said that at present they are able to have it in the sub-zone.

Similarly, Mr. Misgina Fissehaye stated that more than 227,000 Nakfa contributed by nationals inside the country and abroad has been paid to 34 families of fallen heroes through the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare.

The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the support being extended to them by the people and government.
