Farmers in She’ib sub-zone carry out extensive campaign

Members of the farming community in She’ib sub-zone are carrying out extensive campaign so as to effectively utilize river waters flowing from the highlands.

She’ib, 27 August 2011 – Members of the farming community in She’ib sub-zone are carrying out extensive campaign so as to effectively utilize river waters flowing from the highlands.

Pointing out that agricultural production in the sub-zone plays vital role in stabilizing market demand in the area, the chairperson of She’ib Farmers Association, Mr. Mohammed Musa, said that members are engaged in constructing terraces and canals around their farm plots.

Member of the association also indicated that they have already finalized preparations before the onset of the rainy season in the region.

She’ib Farmer Association has about 4,000 members, out of whom 500 are females.
