Donations towards martyrs’ families assessed rewarding

The welfare department in the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare disclosed that the material and financial assistance extended by nationals within the country and abroad towards martyrs’ families is showing rewarding outcome.
Asmara, 28 August 2011-The welfare department in the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare disclosed that the material and financial assistance extended by nationals within the country and abroad towards martyrs’ families is showing rewarding outcome.

Director of the department, Mr. Zeray Teklab made the statement during a homecoming ceremony held for an Eritrean national who came from Saudi Arabia to foster 30 families of fallen heroes.

Mrs. Asmeret Gebreselasie, the Eritrean from Saudi said during the event that it is of every national’s responsibility to look after martyrs’ families and that taking her part as a foster to families of fallen heroes is her national duty.

Furthermore, Mrs. Asmeret noted that the support she received from her husband and children was outstanding and made her initiative to take the task a success.
