Halai, 28 August 2011 – The construction of agricultural infrastructure is going to play vital role not only in solving shortage of drinking water in the area but would also help inhabitants transform their farming methods to irrigation system, reports indicated.
Inhabitants of Halai Administrative area said that at present they would be able to use irrigation system to grow their crops and that they wouldn’t be limited to farm only during rainy seasons thanks to the new micro-dam constructed.
Administrator of the area, Mr. Teklay Emun told ERINA the developments in irrigation and gardening will also play due contribution in meeting the demands of the public in addition to improving their living standard.
He further explained that the investment took place in expanding the micro-dam has benefited 80 farmers.
