Anseba Region: Tests on livestock undertaken to secure milk production

Various tests have been undertaken in Anseba region to secure milk production, stated head of the Agriculture Ministry’s branch office in the region, Dr. Besueamlak Tsegai. Keren, 29 August 2011 – Various tests have been undertaken in Anseba region to secure milk production, stated head of the Agriculture Ministry’s branch office in the region, Dr. Besueamlak Tsegai.

He said that such tests were carried out in Keren, Hagaz, Elaberid, Adi-Tekelezan and Hamelmalo for around 3,000 cattle in the various sub-zones of the region.

Dr. Besueamlak urged dairy farmers to consult professionals in the buying and selling of the milk produced and noted the role of professionals in raising and improving milk production.

Mr. Abdurahman Mohammed Nur, one of the local inhabitants said on his part that the tests would play vital role to this end.
