Pre- and Post-delivery health care provided in Keren Hospital has registered 100% growth, according to the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Keseteberhan Solomon.
Keren, 29 August 2011- Pre- and Post-delivery health care provided in Keren Hospital has registered 100% growth, according to the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Keseteberhan Solomon.
He further explained that currently the hospital has a center providing service to infants, especially those born pre-maturely. It has also scored satisfactory outcome, besides making due contribution in the 30% reduction of maternity death.
Efforts have been stepped up to provide health service to mothers and children, in addition to protecting blindness. At present, the hospital has enough facilities and skilled manpower. Furthermore, efforts made to control contagious diseases like Malaria and TB have borne registered satisfactory outcome, Dr. Keseteberhan added.
He also called up on nationals to participate in voluntary blood donation towards guaranteeing the health of mothers and children.
