Aritai semi-urban center registers growth

The inhabitants of Aritai semi-urban center, Habero administrative area, said that Aritai is registering rapid growth with the putting in place of various service-rendering institutions and construction of residential houses.

Habero, 30 August 2011 – The inhabitants of Aritai semi-urban center, Habero administrative area, said that Aritai is registering rapid growth with the putting in place of various service-rendering institutions and construction of residential houses.

 

Recalling that there existed only a handful of huts in Aritai 20 years ago, they explained that a number of social services, including health station, water project, fruits and vegetables market, and schools have been constructed in the semi-urban center after independence. The local inhabitants stated that they are able to improve their living standard thanks to the provision of basic facilities.

The Administrator of Aritai, Mr. Mohammed Idris Mohammed Omar, pointed out that land has been allotted to 500 families. Aritai is inhabited by about 1,000 families and located 60 Km. north of Keren town.
