Enthusiastic public holiday conducted in Tessenei in connection with Eid Al-Fetir

An enthusiastic public holiday was conducted today in Tessenei in connection with Eid Al-Fetir through the collaboration of the Ministry of Information and the Administration of Tessenei sub-zone . Tessenei, 30 August 2011 – An enthusiastic public holiday was conducted today in Tessenei in connection with Eid Al-Fetir through the collaboration of the Ministry of Information and the Administration of Tessenei sub-zone .

Speaking at the celebrations that was transmitted live via ERI-TV and Dimtsi Hafash, the Administrator of Tessenei, Mr. Tekleberhan Gebrewold, pointed out that public holidays in Eritrea are reflection of the people’s unity and harmony, which is a unique blessing of the Eritrean people.

He further explained that the Eritrean people have managed to become self-supporting and lead stable life thanks to the unremitting efforts exerted at a time when the nationals in the neighborhood are exposed to famine and drought and looking for external handouts.

The head of development of the town, Mr. Gebremichael Mengisteab, on his part expressed appreciation to those who made due contribution for the success of the program.

Harena Cultural Troupe and Tessenei Youth staged musical performance that gave added color to the public holiday.
