Gedem Cement Factory is producing 10,000 quintals of quality cement a day and has begun distribution across the nation, stated Mr. Woldai Kidane, the manager. He told Erina that the factory is sending over 110,000 quintals to various national construction companies, and has created job opportunities to 300 citizens. He told Erina that the factory is sending over 110,000 quintals to various national construction companies, and has created job opportunities to 300 citizens.

Mr. Woldai explained that the main objective of the factory is to meet the needs of the people and government projects, and that the rise in the price and delay in construction activities was due to shortage of cement supply. Henceforth, however, such shortcomings would be no more.

Stating that the establishment of the cement factory in Gedem has many advantages, the manager said that adequate raw materials would be guaranteed.

Mr. Woldai reminded government institutions in general and administrations in particular to issue proper regulations so that the public could obtain the product of the factory at fair price.
