Ministry of Education makes adequate school material ready

The Director of Finance and Administration in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Gebreyohannes Hagos, said that the Ministry has made ready adequate school materials for the academic year 2011/2012 .

Asmara, 30 August 2011 – The Director of Finance and Administration in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Gebreyohannes Hagos, said that the Ministry has made ready adequate school materials for the academic year 2011/2012 .

He said that the Ministry has imported exercise books at a cost of 26 million Nakfa, and would distribute them to all schools across the country at payment of fixed price. The initiative is aimed at assisting families to buy school material to their children at fair price so that no student would be compelled to discontinue school attendance due to financial constraints.

Mr. Gebreyohannes further indicated that discount of 350 to 400 percent has been made in the price of books.
