Felkit: Efforts being stepped up to boost agricultural production

The inhabitants of Felkit Administrative area are stepping up their efforts to boost agricultural production through building a water reservoir with a capacity of cultivating 170 hectares. Felkit, 31 August 2011- The inhabitants of Felkit Administrative area are stepping up their efforts to boost agricultural production through building a water reservoir with a capacity of cultivating 170 hectares.

According to reports, the majority of the undertaking has been completed thanks to relentless efforts on the part of the local inhabitants and the sufficient rainfall last month.

One of the farmers in the area, Mr. Husein Mantai, said that despite continued enemy conspiracy, the development drive of the Eritrean people is making headway.

Both Mr. Saleh Mohammed and Mr. Ali Humed Mohammed explained that the inhabitants of the area have been working hard to raise their awareness in efforts to boost production. They further called on concerned parties to back up water diversion scheme under construction in the area.

The Administrator of the area, Mr. Ahmed Mareh said that satisfactory outcome has been registered in soil and water conservation activities, in addition to the support of the local inhabitants to families of martyrs.
