Efforts being stepped up to strengthen work of Barentu Referral Hospital
During a visit he conducted to Barentu Referral Hospital, the Administrator of Gash-Barka region, Mr. Musa Rab’a, said that vigorous endeavors are being made to strengthen the work of the hospital.
Barentu, 1 September 2011 – During a visit he conducted to Barentu Referral Hospital, the Administrator of Gash-Barka region, Mr. Musa Rab’a,
said that vigorous endeavors are being made to strengthen the work of the hospital.
He explained that the regional Administration would reinforce efforts to encourage the inhabitants enhance their contribution, and that it donated 100,000 Nakfa for the hospital.
Dr. Silesion Mogos from the referral hospital indicated that committees have been set up towards ensuring active popular participation in line with the Health Ministry’s action programs.
The Gash-Barka Referral Hospital comprises emergency room, surgery, x-ray, laboratory, blood bank, pharmacy and physiotherapy. There are 167 health personnel and 70 administration staff in the hospital.
