Mai-Aini sub-zone: veteran fighters engaged in vegetable farmers

Veteran fighters engaged in vegetable farming in Mai-Aini sub-zone have introduced agricultural methods, as well as creating job opportunities to 50 individuals. Mai-Aini, 2 September 2011- Veteran fighters engaged in vegetable farming in Mai-Aini sub-zone have introduced agricultural methods, as well as creating job opportunities to 50 individuals.
A representative of the farmers, Mr. Tesfamichael Michael, said that that the united endeavors coupled with continuous advice and material support on the part of the Government has enabled the farmers to produce milk in addition to owning pigs, cattle and sheep, and produce animal feed for the local market.

One of the employees, Ms. Bahgi Hagos said on her part that she has managed to improve her livelihood following employment opportunity provided by the farmers. Meanwhile, Mr. Tesfamichael pointed out that at present the farmers are working on a program of developing new milk production machine and introduce the breeding of poultry.
