Reforestation activities being carried out in Asmara city

Reforestation activities are being carried out in various areas of Asmara to add charm to the city, stated Mr. Kidane Tekle, the head of the Agriculture Ministry’s branch office in the Central region.

Asmara, 3 September 2011 – Reforestation activities are being carried out in various areas of Asmara to add charm to the city, stated Mr. Kidane Tekle, the head of the Agriculture Ministry’s branch office in the Central region.

He explained that 13 administrative areas have so far taken part in the task, 80 percent of which has been accomplished.

Pointing out that the program would continue even after the summer season, Mr. Kidane stated that proper follow-up would be made to the planted seedlings.
