Crops in Gash-Barka region in good condition

Crops in 205 hectares in Gash-Braka region are in good condition, according to the head of the Agricultural Ministry’s  branch office, Mr. Meseret Gebremichael. Barentu, 14 September 2011-  Crops in 205 hectares in Gash-Braka region are in good condition, according to the head of the Agricultural Ministry’s  branch office, Mr. Meseret Gebremichael.

He said  that service-rendering units and that of technique, coupled with tractors played vital role in the cultivation process, in addition to the contribution of the local inhabitants.

Mr. Meseret also pointed out that although rainfall started late this year in the area, presently the rainfalls covering almost every part of the region. As regards livestock, they in good condition, and getting the fact necessary animal fed.

He also indicated that around 120 water reservoirs have been constructed around rangelands.
