Emni-Haili sub-zone: Irrigation farming being expanded

The number of farmers engaged in irrigation farming in Emni-Haili sub-zone is on the rise, stated  Mr. Kiflemariam Andiberhan, from the Agriculture Ministry’s branch office. Emni-Haili, 14 September 2011-  The number of farmers engaged in irrigation farming in Emni-Haili sub-zone is on the rise, stated  Mr. Kiflemariam Andiberhan, from the Agriculture Ministry’s branch office.

He said that farmers in the sub-zone in collaboration with agricultural experts modernizing farming practices. As a result, over 350 hectares crop harvest a year is being obtained.

Meanwhile, farmers of the sub-zone  continue to practice the irrigation system.
