A major water project in Senafe sub-zone implemented at a cost of 8 million Nakfa has been inaugurated. The project will benefit the inhabitants of the Administrative areas of Forto, Maitera and Serha.
Senafe, 16 September 2011- A major water project in Senafe sub-zone implemented at a cost of 8 million Nakfa has been inaugurated. The project will benefit the inhabitants of the Administrative areas of Forto, Maitera and Serha.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Administrator of the Southern region, Mr. Mustafa Nurhusein, commended the local inhabitants and urged them to make effective use of the new facility.
The Administrator of Senafe sub-zone, Mr. Bereket Tekeste, said on his part that the project is the outcome of the united effort of the Government and the local inhabitants.
Ms. Almaz Aregay, from the community stated that the project represents a big huge relief to the local inhabitants, especially to women.
The head of the infrastructure unit in the sub-zone, Mr. Rezene Fiseha, explained that the project also includes installation of 11,000 meter-long pipeline, construction of three water containers and two generators for pumping purpose.
