Inhabitants of Fichei-Mirara are doing their level best to conserve the national park and utilize the benefits from the area, reports said.
Massawa, 18 September 2011- Inhabitants of Fichei-Mirara are doing their level best to conserve the national park and utilize the benefits from the area, reports said.
Administrator of the area, Mr. Mohammed Ali Ibrahim, indicated that the inhabitants are well aware of the climatic disorder which could be caused by deforestation and that the flora and wildlife in the area is being restored at an encouraging pace.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the inhabitants are actively engaged in bee farming and each farmer possesses at least 50 traditional and modern bee hives.
Reports also indicated that on top of the hired watchmen for the national park, all the inhabitants have taken it as a duty to watch over the expansion of the forestry.
