Massawa, 19 September 2011 – The branch of Immigration and Nationality office in the Northern Red Sea region is striving to render efficient service through introducing modern equipment, disclosed Maj. Teumzigi Yimesgen, head of the branch office.

He said that the branch office renders I.D cards, visa, residence permit, passport and other services, besides organizing skill-upgrading courses to staff members.

Maj. Teumzigi further explained that it has opened offices in Afabet and Nacfa, in addition to giving mobile service in the sub-zones of Karora, Adobha, Foro and Ginda. He added that preparations are underway to provide similar service in Gelalo sub-zone.

According to reports, about 14 thousand I.D cards, over 400 passports and 1020 visas have so far been given to nationals, in addition to giving entry and exit visas to more than 600 foreigners and residential permit to more than 70 individuals.
