The branch office of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare in Emni-Haili sub-zone has extended assistance to a total of 341 needy citizens including war-disabled and orphans at a total expenditure of 3.3 million Nakfa, stated Mr. Tesfagebreal Gebresilase, head of the branch. He said that various types of trainings have also been offered to them, besides extending support and providing credit. Emni-Haili, 23 September 2011 – The branch office of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare in Emni-Haili sub-zone has extended assistance to a total of 341 needy citizens including war-disabled and orphans at a total expenditure of 3.3 million Nakfa, stated Mr. Tesfagebreal Gebresilase, head of the branch. He said that various types of trainings have also been offered to them, besides extending support and providing credit.
Mr. Tesfagebreal further indicated that 85 percent of the beneficiaries have already managed to register improvement in their living standard. The beneficiaries on their part said that they are able to upgrade their lifestyle and expressed appreciation for the support extended to them.
Reports from the Ministry’s branch office indicated that it has given goats and sheep to 18 foster families, school materials to 60 disadvantaged students and a total of 330 thousand Nakfa to 104 disabled citizens, among others.
