Nacfa, 28 September 2011 – The inhabitants of Nacfa sub-zone expressed satisfaction with the expansion of schools and upgrading of the quality of education. They said that such efforts are playing significant role in increasing the number of school attendance and addressing shortage of access to education.
Pointing out that the number of students especially females and children, used to decline due to the remoteness among administrative areas of the sub-zone, the inhabitants said that the schools constructed in the administrative areas of Mariet, Bakla, Endalel, Leba and Benian have fully alleviated the previously existing problem.
Mr. Ali Mohammed, one of the inhabitants, said that they have become beneficiaries of basic facilities thanks to the Government’s relentless efforts and that the transformation of schools into modern ones demonstrates the implementation of equitable distribution of social services across the nation.
The head of the branch office of the Ministry of Education in Nacfa sub-zone, Mr. Saleh Osman, explained that elementary schools in Laba, Bakla and Agra’a have been upgraded to junior level, and that provisional schools would begin service in the villages of Beges, Debr-Zibed, Enkiema and Murui so as to alleviate remoteness of schools. He indicated that the participation of female students has shown growth from 30% to 45% growth, and that efforts would continue to provide educational opportunities for children who didn’t enroll themselves due to their nomadic pattern of living.
