Preserving and developing national resources begin with knowing such resources, say owners of service rendering institutions
Owners of various service-rendering institutions in the Southern region visited historical, archeological and natural sites in their environs, and stressed the need for possessing the knowledge in order to preserve such places. Mendefera, 29 September 2011- Owners of various service-rendering institutions in the Southern region visited historical, archeological and natural sites in their environs, and stressed the need for possessing the knowledge in order to preserve such places.
A total of 103 owners of various service-rendering institutions from Mendefera sub-zone visited the historical sites of Endabametatee, and said that henceforth they would be able to popularize such sites.
One of the participants, Ms. Abrehet Araia expressed gratitude with the visit and knowledge she acquired in the course of the visit to the historical, architectural sites.
Mr. Gebrehiwet Woldu, head of the Tourism Ministry’s branch office in the region said that this year’s Tourism Day was celebrated under the theme “Cultural Interaction” in the Southern region with owners of various service-rendering institutions visiting historical and architectural sites.
He further explained that the tourism sector develops with efforts and devotion of nationals and their participation.
