Beekeepers in Adi-Quala sub-zone strive for higher production

Beekeepers in Adi-Qaula sub-zone are striving for higher production in line with the endeavors being made to ensure food security. Adi-Quala, 30 September 2011 – Beekeepers in Adi-Qaula sub-zone are striving for higher production in line with the endeavors being made to ensure food security.

Mr. Haile Kifle, one of the beekeepers, said that he has managed to rise to 32 modern beehives from 10 traditional ones. He also stated he is in a position to improve his lifestyle.

Reports indicated that there exist more than 1,255 beehives in Adi-Quala sub-zone, which produce 244 quintals of honey a year.
