Southern region: The public called upon to continue community-based sanitation campaign

At a meeting conducted in Mendefera Referral Hospital, the need to continue community-based sanitation programs was given emphasis so as to ensure health care and environmental sanitation. As part of the program, toilet facilities have been introduced in 15 villages. 
Mendefera, 7 October 2011 – At a meeting conducted in Mendefera Referral Hospital, the need to continue community-based sanitation programs was given emphasis so as to ensure health care and environmental sanitation. As part of the program, toilet facilities have been introduced in 15 villages. 

The director general of social Service branch in the Southern region, Mr. Tesfatsion Girmai, stressed the need to work in an organized manner to ensure environmental sanitation.

Similarly, the head of the Health Ministry’s branch office in the region, Mr. Abraham Yemane, called on each village to build toilets using natural raw material found in their respective environment so as to successfully implement the program of expanding such a scheme.
