Keren, 8 October 2011 – The on-going endeavors to control animal diseases in Anseba region are registering encouraging outcome, stated Dr. Tekelmariam Hailemichael, head of animal disease control in the Agriculture Ministry’s branch office.
He explained that animal blood test is being carried out regularly, and that there are plans to open veterinary center in 14 villages. Dr. Teklemariam further indicated that the growing number of veterinarians is playing due role in undertaking animal health activities.
Both Mr. Abdalla Saleh and Mr. Idris Musa, farmers in the region, indicated that the support being extended by the Ministry of Agriculture is making due contribution in ensuring the health of livestock and raising productivity.
