Administrator of the Central region, Mr. Kahsay Gebrehiwet underlined the importance of the society in maintaining the cleanliness of the city of Asmara. The administrator made the statement in a meeting he conducted with the administration officials. Noting that Asmara is a city known for its cleanliness, Mr. Kahsay reminded the inhabitants to preserve this culture and make good use of the public toilets in the city.
Mr. Kahsay strongly recommended that the street carwashes should be penalized and garage owners need to prepare waste containers for their used oil and other stuff.
The administrator went on to say that cleanliness is a reflection of a society’s identity and henceforth reminded the inhabitants to be responsible in reporting such acts to the concerned authorities.
Participants of the meeting on their part presented a handful of rewarding comments and reaffirmed their readiness to partake in any cleaning campaign.
