Debarwa Town: Welfare beneficiaries say their living standard has been upgraded

Inhabitants of the town of Debarwa who benefited from the assistance of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare said that their living standards have been upgraded. Mendefera, 9 October 2011- Inhabitants of the town of Debarwa who benefited from the assistance of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare said that their living standards have been upgraded.

The inhabitants said that they received financial support from the Ministry and invested them in opening small shops, which in turn helped them secure sustainable income to upgrade their living standard.

Head of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch office in the sub- zone, Mr. Fesehaye Werede on his part noted that the office provided loans estimated over two million Nakfa to 113 citizens and promising output was witnessed from the beneficiaries.

Mr. Fesehaye added that 46 families of fallen heroes received over three million Nakfa assistance from nationals in the Diasporas, while 186 needy students received various material assistances worth over 3.3 million Nakfa.
